Super Falcons Captain, Asisat Oshoala, believes Nigeria will overcome the Black Queens of Ghana to qualify for the Morocco 2022 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations Championship (AWCON).

Both teams meet in the first leg of the qualifying tie on Wednesday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos.

“Ghana will be a tough match because the team is one of the best in Africa’s women football. But we are focused on the game,” Oshoala said.

“We had a training camp in Austria and also played in the Aisha Buhari Cup, which is good preparation for the team,” Oshoala added.

“We have prepared well, but we know it will be a very competitive tie. At the end of the day, Falcons will qualify for the championship.”

The reverse fixture of the qualifying tie will hold on Sunday with the winner over the two legs qualifying for the Morocco 2022 African Women Cup of Nations.
