Wife Of Nasarawa State Governor Calls On Women to Get Voter Cards

Nasarawa State First Lady, Hajiya Silifat Sule has called on women to collect their permanent voter’s cards.

She said this would enable them to vote for credible leaders that would pilot the affairs of government in the years ahead.

The Governor’s wife made the call in Awe while addressing women from the Awe, Obi, and Keana local government areas of Nasarawa state.

The first lady, who was on a MEET THE WOMEN TOUR in the state, said it became necessary to meet with women and sensitise them on the importance of participation in politics and the democratic process.

Silat Sule stressed that it is only when women participate in elections, that they can have the opportunity of supporting their fellow women to win political positions.

Meanwhile, the chairman of Awe Local Government who is also the host, commended the First Lady for the visit, just as he thanked Governor Abdullahi Sule for his developmental strides in Awe Local Government and the state at large.

Also speaking separately, SSA on Primary Healthcare, Princess Margret Elayo, Executive Secretary, State Scholarship Board, Sa’adatu Yahaya, and Honourable Hauwa Mohammed Bawa, the APC flag bearer for Obi One constituency all scored high on the developmental strides of the APC-led administration, which according to them deserves a second term in office to achieve more dividends of democracy.

Earlier, the first lady’s entourage was at the Palace of Emir of Awe, Alhaji Isa Abubakar Umar where she solicited royal blessings and support.
