Wizkid drops Morayo in tribute to his late mother

Grammy-winning artist Wizkid has unveiled his highly anticipated album, Morayo, a heartfelt 16-track tribute to his late mother. The album features an impressive lineup of collaborations, including Brent Faiyaz, Asake, Jazmine Sullivan, Anaïs Cardot, and Tiakola.

Ahead of the release, Wizkid dropped two chart-topping singles: “Piece of My Heart” featuring Brent Faiyaz and the infectious “Kese (Dance).”

Both tracks shattered Spotify Nigeria’s streaming records for opening-day streams. “Kese” achieved a staggering 1.5 million streams on its debut, surpassing the 1.016 million streams set by “Piece of My Heart.”

With these successes, Wizkid now holds the top four spots for the biggest first-day streams on Spotify Nigeria, solidifying his position as a leading force in Afrobeats.
