The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has joined the rest of the world to celebrate the 2023 Workers Day, with a call on the Nigerian government to create a friendly working environment for Nigerian workers.
ACCCI also called on government to provide the necessary materials and resources needed for an efficient and effective work force in the country.
The Chamber applauded all workers in Nigeria for their effort, hard work and dedication to national economic growth and development of the country.
The President ACCI, Dr Al-Mujtaba Abubakar in a statement to mark the day, stated that when the working environment is favourable to workers, they would be able to contribute their quota to the economic growth of the country.
Workers Day, Also known as May Day is marked on every first day of May to celebrate the contributions and efforts of workers to the growth and development of societies across the world.
