Youth Assembly Honours Nigeria Activist With Award Of Excellence

The Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN) recently honored renowned human rights activist and lawyer, Sir Ifeanyi Ejiofor, with the prestigious Award of Excellence for contributions to justice and youth empowerment, at the Economic and Security Summit held at the National Merit House in Maitama, Abuja.
During the award ceremony, Ambassador Usman Saidu Calculus, Chairman of the YAN Planning Committee, expressed his admiration for Ejiofor, stating,
“We organized this summit to recognize Sir Ifeanyi Ejiofor, who was invited as one of our esteemed guests and award recipients.
His reputation as a human rights activist, champion of social justice, and anti-corruption advocate precedes him.
He exemplifies a non-partisan commitment to the development of our country, demonstrating steadfast dedication to justice, equity, and equality.”
Calculus continued, “We wanted to acknowledge Sir Ifeanyi, a young professional who has achieved remarkable feats in his field, as a means of inspiring others in similar professions.
His efforts motivate us to uphold our civil rights, even when faced with challenges from government agencies. Having a figure like him in our corner gives us hope that the rights of all Nigerians, especially the youth will be upheld.”
He further noted, “Through this recognition, we affirm our intention to collaborate with Sir Ifeanyi in addressing the challenges facing our nation. We are eager to learn from his extensive knowledge and experience, which will guide our goals as representatives of the youth.”
In response, Sir Ifeanyi Ejiofor expressed his gratitude for the award, stating,
“I am truly honored to receive this Award of Excellence, which acknowledges my contributions to youth development, nation-building, and societal transformation.
This recognition reflects the impactful work we strive to achieve at I.C. Ejiofor & Co. (UgoChinyere Chambers).
I extend my heartfelt thanks to my dedicated colleagues for their unwavering support and commitment, and I sincerely appreciate the leadership and members of the Youth Assembly of Nigeria for this esteemed acknowledgment.”
Ejiofor emphasized the importance of youth in today’s society, asserting,
“The youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow; they are the driving force of today. Investing in their growth and potential is crucial for securing a brighter future for our nation.
I remain committed to supporting initiatives that empower young people and foster sustainable development. Together, we will build a stronger, more prosperous society.”
