YPP Senatorial Candidate Vows To Promote Igbo Culture, Develop Communities

Anambra South Senator and Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), for the 2023 Anambra South Senatorial election Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, has reassured his constituents that his office will not relent in facilitating programmes that will promote Igbo culture.
Senator Ubah made the remarks during the Uru Day Celebration organised by the Uru Umudim community of Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
According to him, the culture and tradition of Igbo people are critical assets that must be protected and promoted at all costs. Senator Ubah also appreciated the Uru community for their continuous support and reassured them that his office will leave no stone unturned in attracting quality projects that will speed up community development across various wards of Anambra South Senatorial District.
The Anambra South Senator, who was warmly received by the community members, also appreciated the Uru Community leaders for promoting peace and orderliness in the area and donated two million naira to support the day’s event.
Senator Ubah further reassured the peoplw of Uru that they will never regret their continuous support for YPP and urged them to consolidate their support by massively voting for the party in the 2023 National Assembly and State Assembly elections.
Responding, the President-General of Uru Development Association Chief Ifeanyi Azubueze, commended Senator Ubah for facilitating various developmental projects in Anambra South Senatorial District. Azubueze also commended him for empowering the youths through various programmes. He also appreciated the Senator for sponsoring quality bills and for providing continuous support to traditional institutions, and urged him to keep up the good works.
Senator Ubah who was accompanied by his party leaders and some stakeholders, also doled out various cash gifts to different groups of youths that include the Uru youth football team that won a cup in a recent competition in Umudim , Nnewi Anambra State.
Other highlights of the event were cultural displays by groups and masquerades, including the popular Ajofia Nnewi.
