Yuletide: Nasarawa APC rejoices with Christians

Nasarawa State All Progressive Congress (APC) urges Christians to adhere to and imbibe Christ’s teachings of purity, sacrifice, brotherliness, and love for one another.

This statement was signed by the Chairman All Progressive Congress (APC), Mr John Mamman, and made available to journalists.

According to him, “APC in Nasarawa State is pleased with the peaceful coexistence among  Muslims and Christians as well as other faiths in the state courtesy of Governor Abdullahi A Sule’s peaceful disposition in governance.”

Mamman, however, said that the party wishes to condemn in its entirety the recent crisis between farmers and herders in some parts of the southern zone, which resulted in the loss of lives of innocent citizens and property.

“We, therefore, express our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the victims of the attacks with a call on all and sundry to give peace a chance in order not to sabotage huge government investments towards ensuring the economic prosperity of the state.

“At this juncture, we must commend and appreciate Governor Abdullahi A Sule, his Deputy Dr Emmanuel Akabe,  Rt Hon Speaker and members of the statehouse of Assembly, traditional rulers and security operatives for their swift reaction in containing the situation,” he said

He further rejoiced with brethren on this crucial spiritual obligation the party is calling on all and sundry to sustain prayers for peace, tranquillity, security, and prosperity for the state and the nation.

Mamman added that it is also relevant to note that the country is witnessing another third wave of COVID-19 omicron variant, calling on all to adhere strictly to all safety measures and protocols for a peaceful and healthy celebration.
