Zaidu Set for 90th Porto Game Appearance

Nigeria international, Zaidu Sanusi, is poised for his 90th appearance for Portuguese giants FC Porto when they host Sporting Braga at the Estádio do Dragão on Friday (today) on match-day 8 of the Primeira Liga.

The 25-year-old has made 89 appearances in all competitions, scoring five goals with an assist, since moving to Portuguese giants from second division side Santa Clara for €4m in January 2020, Of the 89 matches played.

The Nigerian made 54 appearances in the league, 18 in the UEFA Champions League, four of those were made in the Europa League, and one appearance in the Allianz Cup.

The left-back also made 10 appearances in the Taça De Portugal, with the remaining two coming from the Supertaça Cândido De Oliveira.

The left-back has missed two of the club’s league games so far this season and will hope to be available for today’s game against Braga.

This season, the Nigeria international has made five league appearances, two Champions League appearances, and one Supertaça appearance.

Zaidu recently returned to Portugal after representing Nigeria in an international friendly against Algeria in Oran.
