Zoho Urges Nigerian Businesses to Embrace Cloud Technology for Growth
Zoho, a multinational technology company, has encouraged Nigerian businesses to adopt cloud-based technology to drive sustainable growth and maximise their potential. The company emphasised the benefits of digital transformation, stating that cloud solutions enhance efficiency, scalability, and competitiveness in an evolving market.
In a statement issued in Lagos, Zoho Nigeria’s Country Head, Mr Kehinde Ogundare, identified Nigeria’s entrepreneurial drive and expanding middle class as key factors for innovation and growth.
However, Ogundare noted that many businesses still relied on manual processes, which hindered their ability to scale and compete effectively. He explained that traditional growth models lacked the flexibility required to keep up with a rapidly evolving market, leading to inefficiencies, limited data insights, and constrained IT resources.
“Digital transformation is no longer optional; it is a necessity. By embracing cloud-based technology, Nigerian businesses can overcome traditional growth barriers, scale efficiently, and unlock their full potential,” Ogundare stated.
He emphasised that cloud-based platforms removed the need for costly infrastructure investments, allowing businesses to access advanced technology on a flexible and scalable basis.

Ogundare also underscored the benefits of an integrated Software as a Service (SaaS) platform, which provides a unified ecosystem for managing business operations. These platforms automate workflows, reduce manual data entry, and enhance team collaboration.
He further highlighted Zoho’s focus on contextual intelligence, utilising AI to deliver real customer value while maintaining a strong commitment to data privacy.
Urging Nigerian businesses to take a comprehensive approach to digital transformation, Ogundare advised optimising technology infrastructure to ensure seamless integration and peak performance.
“The future of Nigerian business is digital. By adopting cloud technology, businesses can turn challenges into opportunities, paving the way for sustainable growth in an increasingly competitive global market,” he concluded.
