2023 Census: National Population Commission partners with relevant agencies

The National Population Commission says it is working to achieve its mandate through collaborations with relevant agencies.
The statement was made by the chairman of the Commission Mr. Nasir Kwarra during A 3 day Capacity Building Workshop on 2023 Population and Housing Census for State Directors and Management Staff of the National Orientation Agency, NOA, in Abuja Nigeria’s capital.
Mr Kwarra also said the aim is to ensure broad based national support and cooperation for the implementation of the activities of the National Population Commission, especially in the coming census 2023.
He added that the Workshop is expected to educate the management and State Directors of the National Orientation Agency on the methodology and processes for the 2023 Population and Housing Census;
Mr. Nasir Kwarra further said that it will also come up with a comprehensive work-plan and implementation mechanism of the National Population Commission and National Orientation Agency partnership on the 2023 Census advocacy and Publicity campaign.
The Nigerian Minister of Information and Culture Alhaji Lai Mohammed who was represented by the Director General of National Orientation Agency, NOA, Dr. Garba Abare said the ministry is ready to partner with the Commission to achieve its mandates.
