2023 Elections: Association urges Nigeria Media to remain resolute

The Chairman of the Niger State Chapter, the Christian Association of Nigerian (CAN) Reverend Bulus Yohanna has urged the media to remain resolute ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Reverend Yohana stated this during a visit to the Correspondent’s Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists in the state on Wednesday.
The CAN Chairman who said part of the responsibilities of the media is to sensitize the public called on practitioners of the profession to adhere strictly to responsible journalism that would enable electorates to make informed choices among the candidates contesting various elective positions.
The chairman who is also the Catholic Bishop of Kontagora Dioceses in Niger State mentioned that his visit to the correspondents Chaple was part of the CAN’s plans to establish a more cordial relationship with the media in the State.
The Chairman of the Correspondents Chapel in Niger State, Yakubu Bina, who appreciated the gesture by the CAN executive, urged the apex body to sustain the already existing relationship established between the two bodies.
The Chairman further appreciated the CAN leadership for appointing a member of the Correspondent Chapel as media assistant to the CAN Chairman.
