Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has embarked on another round of political campaigns in the 11 local government areas of the state, after touring the 114 Wards of the state canvassing votes for the All Progressives Congress, APC candidates at all levels.
The Gombe State Governor’s Campaign Team was in Kaltungo and Tula, canvassing support for the legislative candidates, including the current majority leader of the state house of assembly, Mr. Yerima Ladan and Mr. Iliya Suleiman.
His first stop was at the hilltop town of Tula Wange, in Kaltungo LGA, where he presented the APC Flag to the candidate of Kaltungo East Constituency at the State House of Assembly.
He said the flag presentation was in fulfilment of the directive given to him by the national leadership of the Party.
“This flag represents the party’s recognition of the competency, loyalty and credibility of a candidate. The flag presentation is a way of formally confirming the commandership of the candidates in their respective constituencies in the forthcoming elections,” Governor Yahaya said.
He added that APC had brought the type of leadership the people clamoured for, which was to put people’s interests and concerns a topmost priority while calling on people to use their PVCs to vote for APC’s candidates at all levels for consolidation of the achievements of the incumbent government.
“I urge you to vote for candidates of the APC from President, Senator, House of Representatives, and House of Assembly members for progress, development, and continuity of good governance,” Governor Yahaya said.
He described the two House of Assembly candidates as grassroots politicians, with the required abilities to lead the party to victory in their respective constituencies.
Responding after receiving the flag, the APC State House Candidate for Kaltungo East Constituency, Mr. Yerima Ladan Gaule, said he had accepted the challenge to lead the fight for APC’s victory in the Constituency and beyond.
At Kaltungo West, Governor Yahaya said he was convinced by the support he enjoyed from the people of the constituency and the LGA in general, expressing optimism of a resounding victory for the party.
In his response, the APC flag bearer for Kaltungo West, Iliya Suleiman said his constituency was a stronghold of the APC and would remain so, giving the assurances to move the party to victory.

Overall, Governor Yahaya called on those who were yet to collect their Permanent Voters’ Cards to do so, because it was the only way to elect good leaders into office.
In Balanga LGA, his first stop was in Bambam, where he presented the flag to the standard bearer of the Party for Balanga South Constituency, Isaac Lamido.
Governor Yahaya, while addressing the crowd, charged the candidate, APC stakeholders and supporters of the party in Balanga South Constituency to be resolute in canvassing for votes and goodwill from the electorate for an across-the-board victory of the APC.
Similarly, he gave assurances of his administration’s commitment to continue to improve their living standards, through policies and programmes that have a direct bearing on their lives.
In Talasse, the headquarters of Balanga Local Government Area, Governor Inuwa Yahaya, in like manner, presented the party’s flag to Mr. Musa Buba, the APC standard bearer for Balanga North State Constituency.
The Governor challenged him to lead the APC’s political battle in the constituency to victory from the front in view of the party’s credentials and pedigree in social, economic and infrastructural development.
He also promised more people-oriented projects and directed the immediate rehabilitation of Bambam Central Primary and Junior Secondary Schools which are in a dilapidated state.
In their separate remarks, the flag bearer of Balanga South Isa’ac Lamido and his counterpart in the Balanga North, Mr. Musa Buba pledged their unwavering commitment to ensure that the APC emerges victorious at the end of the electioneering exercise.
They cited numerous projects executed by Governor Inuwa in Balanga LGA, especially the Reme- Dong road, healthcare facilities and blocks of classrooms among others, saying “we must reciprocate this gesture with our votes.
