2023 Hajj: Kwara state airlifts 1,598 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia

The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board says one thousand, five hundred and ninety-eight (1,598) pilgrims from the state have so far been airlifted to Saudi Arabia for this year’s Hajj exercise.

In a chat with Voice of Nigeria’s Correspondent, the Executive Secretary of the board, Alhaji Abdulkadir Abdulsalam gave a breakdown of the figure so far.

The breakdown shows that two hundred and sixty-two pilgrims were airlifted on 26th and 27th of May.

On 27th and 28th of May, two hundred and seventy-two ilgrims were also airlifted while on the 28th and 29th of May, 2023, two hundred and sixty-nine pilgrims from the state were transported to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for 2023 Hajj exercise.

Similarly, on 30th and 31st of May, two hundred and seventy of them were airlifted while others had their turn between the 1st and 2nd of June.

According to him, the additional 270 pilgrims were airlifted on Thursday night to Lagos en-route Madinah via Air Peace to make up the present number.
