All is set for the 60th ordinary session of the authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) holding in Abuja, today Sunday, December 12.
The venue of the event, the State House Conference Center, Abuja is already wearing a new look, set for the meeting, which starts at 10:00 GMT.
Presidents of the 15 other member States of ECOWAS are all expected to attend with President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria hosting.
The meeting is expected to consider and take far-reaching decisions on the security and development of West Africa.
The Heads of State and government are also expected to review the political situation in Mali and Guinea.
