Gombe Governor hails Tinubu’s emergence as APC Presidential Flagbearer

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has congratulated Senator Bola Tinubu on his emergence as the presidential flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the 2023 General election.

Governor Yahaya described the emergence of Senator Tinubu as a good omen, and an expression of national unity of purpose in what he says is an overwhelming victory for the APC National Leader, and former Lagos State Governor, at the just-concluded Special Convention/Presidential Primary 2022 of the party held in Abuja.

Governor Yahaya in a congratulatory message, said Tinubu’s victory was the manifestation of his years of personal commitment, sacrifice, tenancy, political experience and service to the nation.

He said the Former Lagos State Governor was an enigmatic leader and a strong pillar with immense influence.

While expressing confidence that the APC standard flag bearer, had the capacity, acumen and sagacity to mobilize support across the length and breath of Nigeria.

According to Governor Yahaya, Senator Tinubu is capable of giving the ruling party a resounding victory at the forthcoming general election in 2023.

He also expressed optimism that when eventually elected as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Tinubu would  bring to bear his vast wealth of experience and network as a former Governor, Senator and political leader to hit the ground running and build on the successes of the Buhari-led administration in all facets of human endeavour.

The Gombe State Governor said Senator Tinubu had proven his capability to lead Nigeria, haven governed Lagos state well.

He also commended President Muhammadu Buhari for providing the needed leadership and guidance which led to the enthronement of a transparent internal democratic process that resulted in the successful conduct of the APC Special Convention and Presidential primary.

Governor Yahaya urged other aspirants, party stalwarts and faithful to rally round the flag bearer to ensure victory at the 2023 Polls.

He also praised the Abdullahi Adamu-led National Working Committee for organising a free, fair, peaceful and transparent election, which would ensure unity of purpose in the party.

Governor Yahaya lauded APC Governors in Northern Nigeria for supporting power shift to the south in the spirit of equity, fairness and bond of brotherhood, which he noted will further strengthen the party and engender cohesion in the country.
