Health Scheme to sensitise Nigerians more on packages

The National Orientation Agency, NOA and National Health Insurance Authority NHIA in Kwara State, North central Nigeria have concluded plans to carry out an awareness and sensitisation programme on the various health benefits available to all.

This is in pursuit of increasing public awareness about the operations of the National Health Insurance Authority   towards a mandatory health insurance for all Nigerians and legal residents.

This was disclosed during a courtesy visit to National Orientation Agency, Kwara State Directorate by the General Manager /Zonal Coordinator of Kwara, Kogi and Niger States, Mr Adelaja Abereoran and the newly appointed State coordinator of the authority, Mallam Ahmed Yahaya.

The GM/Zonal Coordinator appreciated NOA for its viable support of the scheme through prompt feedback and collaboration.

He said the NOA has been doing a great job over the years, hence the readiness of the authority to strengthen the partnership.

Abereoran emphasised that  in other to cater for retirees, Corp members, constituents of political office holders and other Nigerians and to provide Basic Health Care, the Nigerian government has introduced various opportunities through health insurance as opposed to out of pocket expenses for medical conditions and treatments.
