The Kwara State First Lady, Mrs Olufolake AbdulRazaq, has charged Nigerians to take advantage of the time left and make haste to participate in the ongoing voters registration before the scheduled closure on Sunday, July 31, 2022.

The First Lady, also the CEO of Ajike People Support Centre, made the statement in her message where she urged the citizens to move out en masse to participate in the exercise.

The message, titled “Secure your vote,” aims to wake Nigerians up to their civic duty of participating in the coming general elections, which can only be possible if they are registered.

She said, “As the last phase of the voters’ registration for 2023 general elections is ongoing, I encourage one and all to register and update their information for the Permanent Voters Card (PVC) online or in person at the various Government and Ward registration Centres across the state.”

INEC had extended the initial June 30 deadline for the ongoing exercise by four weeks to end on July 31.

Some states, including Kwara, have, at various times, declared work-free days to enable workers to get the voter’s card, with Kwara declaring Friday, 29th of July a work-free day.
