The House of Representatives Candidate for  Abakaliki/Izzi Federal Constituency under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Emmanuel Uguru, has reiterated his commitment to tackle Youth Unemployment and Inter-State Boundary Issues, if elected during the forthcoming General Election.
This was necessitated by the harm  unemployment and boundary issues have caused in the state.
Uguru disclosed this while addressing journalists during the ongoing Media Parley with the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists in Ebonyi State, South-east Nigeria.
“We cannot continue to wait for Government to give everyone empowerment as no country in the world could employ all its citizens under Government arrangements.
“Rather, my representation will impact positively on youth development and skill acquisition.
“I am also going to focus on youth mentorship scheme.
“By empowering and employing the youths, it will be a major tool to guarantee societal peace and would help to curb insecurity.
“I will always have a regular town hall meeting with my constituents to discuss and rate my representation.
“I believe that by meeting with my constituents, it would help me to know what am doing well and the ones am getting wrong,” he said.
Uguru pledged to work on partnership with journalists to ensure the success of his administration.
On his part, the Chairman, Correspondents Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists,  Ebonyi State Chapter, Comrade Samson Nwafor, promised that journalists would always ensure balanced reportage in the state.
Nwafor added that journalists would never relent in the discharge of their duties as the watchdogs of the society.
