Sports journalist launches book on Nigeria at FIFA Age grade Competition

Towards the development of football in Nigeria, a veteran Sports journalist,  Clement Nwankpa Jr. has launched a book titled“Nigeria at FIFA Age Group Tournaments: Discoveries, Gains, Losses”.

Nigeria’s Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Sunday Dare who also wrote the foreward to the book said Nigeria is blessed with talented youngsters and if well managed will bring glory to the country.

The Minister, who was represented at the launching in Abuja by one of his aides, Mr. Kola Daniel stated that “We must commend the writer of this book for his foresight in reminding us of our participation in the FIFA age grade competitions, which will be there for the people and the generation unborn to read”

Others prominent Sports personalities like the former first Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Barrister Sheyi Akinwumi and the League Management Committee Chairman, Mallam Shehu Dikko also eulogized the author of the book for his sacrifice towards uplifting Nigerian football.

Barr. Akinwumi praised the book for its factual and described it as a watershed in the nation’s football journey.

“I am really impressed with the content of the book. It’s gives us who participated in which tournaments, at what particular period, and what they achieved. It’s a good one for everyone to have it, and it would serve as a reference point for everyone, especially the lovers of football”

Mallam Dikko, who is the Chief Launcher of the book praised the author’s tenacity and thoroughness in chronicling the event of the past years.
