Nigeria Discloses Plans of University Exchange Programme with Australia

The  Nigerian High Commissioner in charge of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji  Islands, Papua New Guinea, Vanatu, and the Pacifics, Ambassador Anderson Madubike, says arrangements have been concluded to facilitate exchange programmes between the countries and Nigerian universities.

Madubike made the disclosure during a courtesy visit to the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State.

He was received on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor,  Professor Kayode Adebowale, by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) Administration, Professor Ezekiel Ayoola.

The visiting envoy disclosed that he was on the visit to encourage students’/lecturers’ exchange programmes between the University of Ibadan, UI and Australian universities.

Madubike said there are many opportunities to be explored in Australia, stating that a special delegation from Australia would be in the University of Ibadan, Ibadan; the University of Lagos, Lagos; and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in October 2023, to further explore opportunities of collaboration and partnerships.

In his response, the DVC Administration, University of Ibadan, Professor Ayoola, assured the visitor that UI was always ready to collaborate with other universities.

He noted that the present management of the University was building upon the achievements of past administrations in the University, with a view to laying a solid foundation for the future of the University.
