Emir Of Ilorin Hosts Gamji Members, Extols Sardauna’s Virtues

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari has  extolled the virtues of the late premier of northern Nigeria, Sir Ahmadu Bello.
The paramount ruler said Sardauna lived and died for the north, explaining that the late premier laid solid foundation for the development of  entire northern region.
Sulu- Gambari spoke while playing host to the executives and leaders of Gamji Members Association (GAMA)- the association was committed to the promotion of the ideals of Sardauna, in his palace in Ilorin, Kwara State.
Sardauna died for northern people. He died so that we can live. He lived a life of dedication to the service of the north,” the Emir added.
Pioneer chairman
The Monarch went down the memory lane on the formation of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) where he served as the pioneer chairman.
Sulu -Gambari  prayed and gave his blessings to members of GAMA, commending their commitment to a noble ideal.
The President General of GAMA in Kwara State, Alhaji  Mohammed Tunde Akanbi, noted that the Emir, by his words and deeds exemplified what the late Sardauna stood for.
Akanbi expressed delight that Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State have witnessed unprecedented development under the reign of the Emir.
He said:”  His royal Highness, Maimartaba Sarki Ilory is playing a stabilizing role in the state. The latest of  some of the notable achievements recorded so far under our royal father’s reign  is the renaming of Ilorin International Airport after the late General Babatunde Idiagbon by the immediate past Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari. 
“The Emir never discriminated against any person or group. Just like the Sardauna, His Royal Higness always preaches peace and love amongst his subjects.”
The GAMA President General intimated the Emir about the 9- point agenda of his executive.
A university don and chairman, Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) in the state, Dr Ghali Alaaya, prayed for the Emir, and noted that:
The Emir’s is desirous of development for all his people
Other members of GAMA delegation included a fellow of Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, Alhaji Saadu Salahu, the Director of Administration of the association, Alhaji Abdullahi Yusuf, Director of Publicity, Alhaji Abdullahi Olesin and treasurer, Alhaji Malik Olokoto.
