President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sworn in the newly confirmed chairmen of two government agencies: Prof. Tunji Olaopa, the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC); and Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, Esq., the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
The swearing-in ceremony preceded the Federal Executive Council meeting, which was presided over by President Tinubu on Wednesday at the Council Chambers of the State House, Abuja.
According to a citation read by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, the new ICPC chairman served as the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Jigawa State between 2019 and 2023.
The new Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission, Professor Olaopa, is an academic from Oyo State and has served as permanent secretary across five ministries.
Other federal commissioners were also sworn-in in batches of three by the president: Daudu Ibrahim Jalo (represents Adamawa, Gombe, and Taraba States); Dr. Charmberlain Nwele (represents Anambra, Ebonyi and Enugu States), and Rufus Godwin, who represents Rivers, Delta, and Bayelsa States.

Other members of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) include Dr. Adamu Hussein, who represents Niger State and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT); Aminu Nabegu (Jigawa and Kano States); and Ms. Hindatu Abdullahi, who represents Kaduna and Katsina States.
Others include Hindatu Abdullahi (Kaduna and Katsina States); Shehu Aliyu (Kebbi, Sokoto, and Zamfara States), and Ms Odekunle Rukiyat Aduke (Kogi and Kwara States).
Sarah Sosan represents Lagos and Ogun States, while Dr. Festus Oyebade represents Osun and Oyo States. Obong Ededet Eyoma will represent Akwa Ibom and Cross River States at the FCSC.
