The Nigerian Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, through the Abuja Enterprise Agency (AEA), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AFS Vocational Hub to ensure quality and sustainable management of the Agency’s newly equipped Fashion Hub in Abaji Area Council of FCT.
While signing the MoU in Abuja Nigeria’s capital, the Acting Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Abuja Enterprise Agency, Mr.Chudi Ugwuada-Ezirigwe declared that the move was in tandem with the mandate of the Agency which focuses greater part of its activities in the rural areas of the Territory.
Mr. Ezirigwe further hinted that the Agency is working assiduously to sign similar agreements with serious minded Private Organizations, with proven track records in the management of digital fashion hub, thereby giving rise to proposed establishment of modern fashion Institutes across the six Area Councils of FCT, within the year.
According to him, “this is in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to provide economic empowerment for rural dwellers in the six Area Councils of FCT in particular and the country at large, which is being vigorously pursued by the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Nyesom Wike”
He maintained that the MoU is in fulfilment of the core mandate of the Agency as a vehicle for wealth creation, employment generation and poverty eradication.
Harping on the huge potentials and prospects of the Fashion Industry, Mr. Ezirigwe expressed strong optimism that the Industry has the capacity to take thousands of youths off the streets.
Earlier, the CEO of AFS Vocational Hub, Mr. Femi Oladosu who pledged the commitment of his Organization to bring to bear years of tested experience in the fashion industry, stressed that AFS has carved a niche for itself by facilitating several trainings locally and internationally.
