Anambra: Federal Polytechnic Oko gets Onyegbu as Acting Rector

The Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman, has approved the appointed of Professor Uche Onyegbu as the acting rector of the Federal Polytechnic Oko in Orumba North Local Government Area of  Anambra State, South East Nigeria.
The appointment takes effect on 5th February 2024 is for an initial period of six (6) months.
Onyegbu’s appointment follows expiration of rectorship tenure of  Dr. Francisca Unoma Nwafulugo as Rector Federal Polytechnic Oko on 2nd February, 2024.
Until this appointment, Mr Onyegbu was the Deputy Rector (Academic) and a chief lecturer in the Department of Public Administration of the institution.
Onyegbu is recognised for his experience in both administration and academia, having served as a secretary to four consecutive rectors for 17 years before transitioning to teaching.
With educational qualifications, including a B.Sc, M.Sc, and MPA in Public Administration, and nearing the completion of his doctoral programme, Mr Onyegbu has demonstrated a strong commitment to academia and professional development.
He is a professional, holding memberships in bodies such as the Nigeria Institute of Public Administrators (FNIPA), Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), and Professional Secretaries of Nigeria (FPSN), among others.
