VP Shettima Arrives In Edo for Governor Elect’s Inauguration

Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived in Benin, Edo State Capital for the inauguration of the State’s s Governor-Elect, Monday Okpebholo.

The Vice President, who arrived in Benin at 10:44 GMT, was received at the airport by the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shuaibu.

Also at the airport to receive the Vice President were some Governors of All Progressive Congress (APC) controlled States, led by the Chairman of Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Abdulerazaq Abdulrahman.

He immediately proceeded to Samuel Ohgbemudia Stadium Benin, the venue of the swearing-in.

Monday Okpebholo was elected Governor in the September 21 governorship election where he polled 291, 667.
