The bulls dominated the activity chart as equities trading on floor of the Nigerian Exchange Group Limited NGX, appreciated by 0.5 percent at the close of business on Thursday.
The All-Share Index of listed equities rebounded by 487.24 absolute points representing a 0.5 percent increase to close at 97,783.81 point higher than Wednesday’s 97, 296.57 points.
Consequently, the NGX market capitalization appreciated further by N305 billion to close at N59.275 trillion compared to the N58.969 trillion of the previous day.
The market sentiment as measured by market breadth ended 28 equities on the gainers list relative to 30 losers.
Vitafoam had the highest figure on price gain as it led the chart with a 10 percent increase on its share price to close at N23.50 kobo. Aradel followed with a 9.23 percent profit on its share price to close at N517.00 then; FTN Cocoa Processors gained 7.82 percent on it share price to close at N1.93 kobo.
Among the 30 decliners, PRESTIGE led the chart with a 10 percent drop on its share price to close at N0.81 kobo.
Unilever followed with a 9.97 percent loss on its share price to close at N26.65 kobo; while the share price of AUSTINLAZ dropped by 9.96 percent to close at N2.17 kobo.
The day’s trading session ended with a total of 632.74 million units of shares that exchanged hands in 8,404 deals.
