Major bourses around the world were lower on Thursday amid a general cautious sentiment and worries over global growth.

The Fed said substantial further progress still needs to be seen in the American economy and the PBoC hint at monetary easing to boost growth, including a reserve ratio cut and rising liquidity.

In Europe, key benchmark indexes lost 1% and US futures were also lower.

In Asia, the Hang Seng led the losses, amid a crackdown on technology firms.
