The Managing Director of the Abuja Broadcasting Corporation, owners of Aso Television and Radio Services, Mallam Ibrahim Ndanusa, said improved content and massive support from the FCT Minister, Mallam Mohammed Musa Bello, facilitate easy access of Aso Television on the cable platform.
Speaking to Journalists in Abuja, Ndanusa said apart from being on cable, is now on Arab Sat and Star-time, which means it can be watched from any part of the world.
He said the feat remains one of the biggest achievements of the present FCT Administration.
The MD assured that the management would improve on such achievements by continuing to create competitive contents that will attract more audience, which according to him, will translate to more money for the station.
”When the FCT minister, Mallam Musa Bello visited here, he asked us to run our operation like an enterprise and this involves strategic steps, which include quality engineering work, quality signal, and being on multi-platform like DSTV, Arab Sat, and Star-time to enhance our marketing ability,” he said.
The MD said the two stations were working harder to increase news coverage by covering all six area councils and extending coverage to adjourning states.
”We will be sending correspondents to some strategic states to expand our coverage and strengthen our marketing strategy,” he added.
On infrastructure, the MD said due to termites and rodents infestation of State of the art Radio studio, the management is reworking the studio, which he said would be better equipped and protected going forward.
He thanked the staff for their efforts to move the organisation forward and pleaded with them to double the efforts to move the stations higher.
