McSpencer Akpan, the Head Coach of McSpencer Basketball Academy, has said that his desire is to win the ongoing Youth Alive Basketball League’s Under-14 Boys category.

McSpencer made this known on Sunday after his team defeated Cruisers Basketball Academy 32-25 in Lagos.

According  to him, his team can win the junior league with a good dominance of opponent and confidence that other teams will fall against them.

“We can win the league, although it is very competitive. But I’m very confident that at the end of the season, we will be victorious at the end,” McSpencer said.

He also commended the Youth Alive Basketball League, adding that the league had kept the youths busy in the competitive sport.

Similarly, Coach Kunle Iyioola, the Head Coach of Cruisers Basketball Academy, said they lost the match due to loss of focus and total concentration in the second half.

“We lost concentration in the match, we arrived late and could not settle properly on time to do justice to the game. My players also lacked the experience to compete favourably today because they are just playing in their first ever competitive competition.

“With time we will get better and compete with other teams for the title at the U-14 boys category,” Iyioola said.

In another encounter, Ravens Basketball Academy defeated Rivers Dragon, 32-25 in the ongoing Youth Alive Basketball League in Lagos.
