Adamawa Police Engage Stakeholders Ahead of Ganye Bye-Election

The Adamawa State Police Command has assured residents of a peaceful forthcoming Ganye House of Assembly bye-election, scheduled for Saturday, 16 August 2025.

At a peace accord meeting held in Yola, the state capital, the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, urged political parties to strictly adhere to electoral laws and commit to a violence-free process.

He disclosed that the command had identified all polling units in the constituency and deployed security personnel, operational assets, and resources to safeguard voters, as well as sensitive and non-sensitive electoral materials.

The police boss called on political stakeholders to caution their supporters, stressing the importance of placing the interest of Adamawa State above partisan considerations.

He reaffirmed the police command’s commitment to providing a secure environment for credible elections.

The meeting was attended by leaders and representatives of various political parties.

The event ended with all party leaders and representatives signing the peace accord, pledging to uphold peace before, during, and after the election.
