AFCON Qualifiers: Enoh Backs Eagles For Victory Over Libya

The Nigerian Super Eagles are gearing up to face Libya in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, and Minister of Sports Development Senator John Enoh is urging the team to go for victory. He’s warning them against complacency, reminding them that Libya will be seeking at least a draw in Uyo.

The Super Eagles are currently leading Group D with four points from two matches, one point ahead of Benin Republic and two ahead of Rwanda [User Question]. A double win over Libya would take them to 10 points, putting them in a strong position to secure a spot in the 2025 AFCON tournament.

Head Coach Augustine Eguavoen is targeting a maximum of six points from the double-header fixtures, saying “there are possibilities and opportunities for us to sail home at the end of these two matches” [User Question].
