The Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have called for stronger collaboration with the Theatre Command, Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) to address security issues in Borno State.
The Police delegation led by its Chairman, Ambassador Abatcha Umar Nanabe, visited the Headquarters of the Joint Task Force, Operation HADIN KAI, to interact with them on potential future collaborations in security.
Nanabe thanked OPHK for supporting their recent security training and expressed commitment to continued partnership in civil-military cooperation activities.
Meanwhile, the newly appointed NSCDC Borno State Commandant, Mohammed Hassan Agalama, has paid a courtesy visit to Headquarters of the Theatre Command, Joint Task Force (North East), OPHK, Maiduguri.
Agalama called for strengthening the existing relationship between the Armed Forces and NSCDC to tackle insurgency in the state.
The Theatre Commander, OPHK, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, welcomed both delegations and assured them of their commitment to strengthening collaboration.
He commended the outstanding performance of NSCDC personnel on the frontline and expressed gratitude for their deployment to the area.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, Media Information Officer of the Joint Task Force Operation, HADIN KAI, the visits highlighted the importance of synergy in tackling security issues in the North East region.
