The National Orientation Agency, NOA has Collaborated with the National Film and Video Censors Board, NFVCB to campaign for the need of all Nigerians to know the Classification Of Videos they watch.
The Ebonyi State Coordinator of National Orientation Agency, Mr Odonor Mathew Disclosed this during the Visitation of the Head, National Film and Video Censors Board Ebonyi State Office, Mr Ejike Nwodo at the NOA Office in Abakaliki the State Capital.
Odonor said “I am very happy with this synergy. This is inline with the Directive of our Director General, Dr Garba Abari, During our last meeting in Abuja the nation’s capital where he charged us to go into Collaboration with other agencies in order to achieve the aims and objectives of NOA, am sure that our DG will be happy to hear that we have already swung into Action of synergizing with other Agencies“.
The State Coordinator promised continuous partnership with NFVCB to save Nigerians, more especially the children from the menace they found themselves of watching videos that are not their class.

On his part, the Head National Film and Video Censors Board, Ebonyi State Office, Mr Ejike Nwodo said the essence of the partnership was for NOA to work with the board in the campaign against watching unclassified Videos especially among the Children.
Nwodo advised Nigerians to always look for the clarification of any video before watching it.
Classification of Videos
Mr Nwodo said many Videos are classified as General- anybody can watch it irrespective of the age. Parental Guardian PG, in this, parents much be there to Guide the children while watching it. 12B, this type of video is for children from 12 years below and it must not contain Strong Language and violence. 12A- this is for children from 12 years and above.
Others classes of videos are 15- this video is for 15 years and above. It can involve sexual behavior but not kissing or intercourse.
He said the video classified as 18 is for adults. Another class of video is Restricted Exhibition and it is purely for professionals.
Consequently, Nwodo urged all Nigerians to join hands in the fight against uncensored films and videos.
