Agency Partners With NPC To Make Positive Impacts

The National Orientation Agency NOA has partnered with the National Population Commission NPC in a bid to ensure that the Policies and Programmes of the Nigeria Government get to the targeted Citizens,

 

The partnership was to ensure that no Nigerian is ignorant of any of the Nigeria Government’s intervention programmes and policies.

 

The State Coordinator of the National Orientation Agency NOA, Elder Mathew Odonor disclosed this when the Management of NOA paid a courtesy visit to the State Director, National Population Commission NPC, Barrister Mrs Manyike  Nnenna, in her office opposite Unity Square Abakaliki the State Capital.

 

Odonor said, “NOA is saddled with the responsibility of adequately sensitizing Nigerians on Government policies and programs, just like NPC is saddled with getting our population updated from time to time and other vital registrations”.

 

“We are here so that National Population Commission NPC can tell us the new date of the suspended national House to House Census so that NOA would have what they can tell the general public”, Odonor added.

 

NATIONAL POPULATION COMMISSION

 

On her part, the State Director, National Population Commission NPC Barrister Mrs Manyike Nnenna appreciated NOA for coming to partner with them.

 

Manyike described the collaboration as a symbiotic one.

 

“We need you and your structures just like you need us for optimum performance.

Your structures is widely known for dissemination of information to all Nigerians even at the hinterlands”, Manyike added.

 

She said it was a thing of joy to come into partnership with them.

 

NEW DATE OF CENSUS

 

The NPC State Director informed that the Commission is under the Presidency and as such, it is only the Federal Executive Council FEC that has the right to announce the new date.

 

However, Manyike assured all Nigerians that the census will definitely hold.
