Anambra Assembly Speaker Lays  Foundation For Cassava Processing Plant

Anambra State House of Assembly Speaker Mr Somtochukwu Udeze, has laid the foundation for cassava processing plant in Atani ,Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra state.
According to the Speaker, the project, which is part of his contribution to his constituency, will serve the entire Ogbaru when completed.He said it will be completed in record time.
Udeze noted that flooding always forces people of the area to harvest and sell of their farm produce without making expected gains.
He said the establishment of the cassava Processing plant will help the farmers to harvest and process their produce instead of wasting it during flood menace.
The traditional ruler of Atani community, Igwe Augustine Ngodi while appreciating the speaker, described the gesture as a noble step aimed at giving the people quality representation.
“Udeze has proven to be an exemplary and humane leader who considers the general welfare and well-being of the people he is representing. When completed, the project will go a long way to reduce the economic loss Ogbaru farmers incurs during flood incidents,”Ngodi added.
