The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has extended warm congratulations to His Royal Majesty, Dr. Kenneth Onyeneke Nnaji Orizu III, the Igwe of Nnewi, on the occasion of his landmark 100th birthday.

In a statement issued by his Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, Governor Soludo described the monarch’s centenary as a “historic and inspiring milestone,” a reflection of divine grace, resilience, and a lifetime of dedicated service to his people.

“Reaching the age of 100 is a rare and extraordinary blessing,” the Governor noted. “Even more remarkable is that His Royal Majesty continues to exhibit exceptional mental acuity, physical vitality, and the wisdom that have guided his illustrious 62-year reign.”

Governor Soludo praised Igwe Orizu III for his enduring leadership and contributions to peace, unity, and progress in Nnewi and beyond.

“For over six decades, His Majesty has been a pillar of stability through periods of change, a voice of reason in times of tension, and a bridge-builder fostering harmony and development,” he said.

The Governor highlighted the monarch’s pivotal role in promoting community cohesion, economic growth, and cultural preservation across Anambra State and Nigeria.

He also acknowledged Igwe Orizu’s national recognition as Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) and his service as a Justice of the Peace (JP) as fitting tributes to his distinguished record.

“As Igwe Kenneth Orizu III marks a century of life and 62 years of noble reign, we celebrate his wisdom, humility, and unwavering commitment to the progress of his people,” Governor Soludo stated.
