Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Soludo, recently participated in the cultural carnival of the 2024 Batch C Stream 1 Corps Members at the NYSC Unity Permanent Orientation Camp.

Represented by the Commissioner for Culture, Environment, and Tourism, Hon. Don Onyenji, the Governor stressed the significance of the NYSC’s cultural festival in promoting national unity. He underscored the shared traits among various cultures and encouraged Corps Members to raise awareness about the state’s cultural diversity.
The Governor assured the Corps Members of his continued support throughout their service year.
Similarly, the Commissioner for Youth Development, Patrick Aghamba, reaffirmed his ministry’s dedication to promoting the nation’s organic cuisine by encouraging the cultivation and spread of natural foods.
The Governor, represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth Development, Dr. Martins Agbili, highlighted that the cultural carnival celebration also embodies the values of respect and the dignity of labor.
Mrs. Blessing Iruma, the NYSC State Coordinator in Anambra, emphasized the benefits of cultural carnivals, such as boosting self-esteem, promoting social integration, developing leadership skills, improving physical health, encouraging healthy habits, fostering community spirit, and inspiring volunteerism.
