Anambra state government to commence construction at Agulu Lake

Anambra Commissioner for Culture, Entertainment, and Tourism, Mr Don Onyenji has disclosed that construction will soon commence at the Anambra State Leisure and Tourism site, Agulu Lake.
He stated this while speaking with newsmen in Awka on the celebration of World Tourism Day.
Commissioner Onyenji who noted that the site is over 26 plots of land, said that the present administration has passion for tourism and that is why Governor Chukwuma Soludo projected the site as one of the key focus of the ministry and the government adding that tourism is one of the biggest revenue generators in the world.
Mr. Onyenji explained that in addition to the Agulu Lake Tourism Site, they are plotting other auxiliary sites for rural tourism as they are profiling all the communities in the state for them to provide possible tourism sites that will be known as heritage sites to ensure that areas for leisure and tourism are developed in the communities as well as to create economy around such spaces in the communities to generate revenue.
The Tourism Commissioner also stated that tourism enhances good life as people need to relax, visit parks recreational and entertainment centres advocating increased awareness creation on tourism.
