A prominent figure in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), former National Auditor of the party, Pro-Chancellor of Benue State University, and aspirant for the 2025 Anambra Governorship election, Sir Paul Chukwuma, has praised Praesident Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the recent resumption of operations at the long-abandoned Port Harcourt refinery, as a beacon of economic hope.

In his commendation, Chukwuma attributed this significant achievement to President Tinubu’s vision of deregulation, which has effectively abolished the fuel subsidy regime.
“This pivotal change is seen as fostering an environment conducive to fair competition and quality service delivery, contrasting sharply with the previous subsidy system that stifled competition,”  Chukwuma noted.
Chukwuma emphasized that the revival of the Port Harcourt refinery underscores the viability of the president’s strategy to rejuvenate Nigeria’s economy.
“The President’s commitment to reengineering the economy is undeniably steadfast. Today, we witness the remarkable resurgence of the Port Harcourt refinery after decades of dormancy. This development stands as a testament to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s determination to transform the fundamentals of our economy and ensure energy security. It embodies the APC’s vision of fostering prosperity for all Nigerians,” Chukwuma stated.
Furthermore, Chukwuma urged President Tinubu to maintain his momentum and encouraged Nigerians to remain optimistic about the government’s efforts.
He expressed confidence that the benefits of the renewed hope agenda would soon become a tangible reality for the populace.
