Anti-graft Agency Arrests 18 Suspected Internet Fraudsters In Enugu State

Operatives of Nigeria’s Anti-graft Agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC Enugu State Zonal Command have arrested 18 suspected internet fraudsters in different locations the state.
The suspects include one Chigozie Philips, founder of Holy Family School Abakpa, Enugu, where he allegedly trains prospective cybercriminals.
The Head, Media and Publicity of the commission, Mr Wilson Uwujaren disclosed this in a press statement in Abuja on Tuesday.
He said, 13 of his proteges who were arrested in the sting operation are Kingsley Okorie, Henry Chidiebere, Elochukwu Chukwuemeka Micheal, Nelson Nnaji, Joacin Kelvin, Kelechi Ibe, Chinonso James, Udeh Isaiah and Micheal Chukwuemeka.
Others includes, Ifeanyi Ozor Bright, Etuma John, Okafor Chukwuemeka, Raymond Chinaza, Desmond James, Ozoma Chinonso Anthony, Uchenna Aka and Ozor Celestine.
Uwujaren explained that, items recovered from the suspects include 20 mobile phones and 2 laptops.
He further said, the suspects have made useful statements and would be charged to court as soon as the investigation was concluded.
