The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has paid a condolence visit to Kano State to commiserate with his Chief of Staff, Mustapha Dawaki, over the passing of his mother.
During the visit, Professor Yilwatda extended sympathies to the Dawaki family, describing the late matriarch as a woman whose enduring values and legacy are reflected in the character and public service of her son.
According to a statement by the Special Adviser to APC National Chairman on Media and Communications Strategy, Mr. Abimbola Tooki, the deceased, Hajiya Binta Bala, died at the age of 83 after a prolonged illness.
Her janaza prayers were held last Saturday at the Dawakin Kudu Central Mosque in Dawaki Town, in accordance with Islamic rites.
He noted that the APC National Chairman offered prayers for the repose of her soul and asked God to grant the family strength and comfort in their time of grief.
As part of his visit, Professor Yilwatda toured the Police Private School (PPS), Dawakin Kudu, an educational initiative founded by Mr. Dawaki, to expand access to quality education in the state.
The school, which has enrolled over 700 students in less than two and a half years, is among several community empowerment projects spearheaded by Mr.Dawaki to promote human capital development.
Professor Yilwatda commended Dawaki for his vision and commitment to education, noting that sustainable development is rooted in deliberate investment in knowledge and character formation.
He also praised the school’s management and staff for their professionalism and dedication to nurturing future leaders.
Professor Yilwatda encouraged sustained community-driven initiatives aimed at empowering young people, fostering social cohesion, and reinforcing the APC’s commitment to people-centered development nationwide.
