The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has expressed confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid for 2027, dismissing the possibility of the opposition parties unseating him.

Addressing supporters of the APC League of Professionals at the party’s headquarters in Abuja, the nation’s capital, Professor Yilwatda assured that the APC would ensure victory for its candidates in the upcoming governorship, national, and State Assembly elections.

Professor Yilwatda, who described himself as a bridge between the old and the young, highlighted the achievements of the President Bola Tinubu-led administration, including the students’ loan and empowerment programmes. He noted that these initiatives have positively impacted the citizenry, particularly the youth.

“The child of the poorest man in Nigeria can now go to school to the peak without borrowing from anywhere. The government has made provision for that. This is the only time we’ve had that in the history of Nigeria. The government has dropped N1.5 billion into the Bank of Agriculture (BOA) to support young men who want to go into agriculture.” Professor Yilwatda said.

APC’s National Chairman called on supporters to work with him to ensure the party’s victory in the 2027 elections, saying, “I look forward to working with you to ensure that 2027 will deliver the President, the Governors, the Senators, the House of Assemblies, and the House of Representatives members.”

A pioneer secretary of the Bayelsa State chapter of the APC, Marlin Daniel expressed gratitude to President Tinubu and the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) for supporting Yilwatda’s appointment as national chairman.

He expressed optimism that Yilwatda will deliver the party’s candidates at the polls, given his experience as a politician and technocrat.
