The All Progressives Congress in Kwara State on Tuesday, commenced the registration and revalidation exercise of its members across the sixteen local government areas of the state.
VON Correspondent, gathered that the exercise which will last for two weeks is going on peacefully, except lafiagi in Edu Local Government area of the state where it will commence on Wednesday.
The Chairman of APC in Lafiagi Ward 1, Muhammed Kawuba Hassan, said they are expecting materials for the registration, saying that the materials are expected to arrive on Wednesday.
While in Patigi, Patigi Local Government Area of the state, materials had arrived the local government, but registration was yet to commence as at the time our Correspondent filled in n this report.
In an interview, a member of APC in the area, Mohammed Sodiq Najyia, said they are awaiting for logistics before the commencement of the exercise.
Speaking with our Correspondent at Akanbi ward 5, Federal Training Centre, Kulende, in Ilorin South Local Government area, the Secretary of a group within the kwara APC known as Voice of Kwara Progressives, Mr. Lanre Sulyman, described the exercise as peaceful and orderly, saying that the turnout is encouraging, while members are observing Covid-19 safety protocols.
In Alanamu, Ilorin West Local Government Area of the State, a Stakeholder of the party, Mr. Kehinde Onimago and the Ward Chairman of the Party in Alanamu, Alhaji Alhaji Muyideen Ikolaba, appreciated members for their turnout, stressing the need to expand the base of the party in the state.
