The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State has rolled out a comprehensive plan ahead of its State Congress, unveiling three strategic committees to oversee the much-anticipated exercise scheduled for Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
The congress is set to take place at the Indoor Sports Stadium, Kofar Mata, with proceedings expected to commence at 8:00 p.m. local time.
In a statement issued by the Kano APC Spokesperson, Honourable Ahmad Aruwa, the party said the committees were carefully constituted to guarantee a transparent, credible, and hitch-free congress in line with its constitution and operational guidelines.
The committees announced include the Congress and Accreditation Committee, the Publicity Committee, and the Security Committee.
The Congress and Accreditation Committee is chaired by Rabi’u Sulaiman Bichi, with Hon. Muhammad Jamu Yusuf serving as Secretary.

Other members include Hon. Baffa Babba, Rt. Hon. Butu-Butu, Hajiya Sa’adatu Algon, Hon. Ali Haruna Makoda, Hon. Abdullahi Rogo, Hon. Baffa Takai, Hon. Lamin Sani, Sani Ma’aruf, Hon. Sani Bala, Khalid Ishaq, Barrister Mannir Rimin Gado, and Hon. Hassan Hussain.
The Publicity Committee is headed by former Commissioner of Information, Muhammad Garba, with Sunusi Bature as Secretary.
Members include Lawan Hussaini, Jamilu Danbatta, Yusuf Sharada, Musa Liliyasu, Ghali Sadiq, Binta Spikin, Uba Dan Zainab, Ibrahim Yaro, and Ahmad Aruwa.
To ensure adequate security, the Security Committee is chaired by Colonel Malami, with Mustapha Bakwana, the Director-General of Special Services, Bala Albasu, CP Balarabe Musa, Group Captain Kura, Dr. Garba Sani Diso, and Air Commodore Yusha’u Sulaisu Tudun Wada serving as members.
Aruwa said the party leadership has expressed full confidence in the capacity of the committees to deliver a peaceful and successful congress.
