Youths of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State have promised to support Governor Abdullahi Sule’s appeal against the tribunal judgment made in favour of Dr. David Ombugadu, the gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in the March 18, 2023 Governorship Election.

Speaking at the APC headquarters in Lafia, the state capital, the leaders of the youth group, Surajo Tijanni, said they were solidly behind Governor Abdullahi Sule:

“We are told to remain calm as the governor has appealed the judgement of the tribunal. If not satisfied, we will proceed to the Supreme Court.

“We are here to let the governor know that the APC youths in Nasarawa State are solidly behind him one hundred per cent as he proceeds to Appeal Court.”

Speaking, the state APC chairman, Aliyu Bello, said that all processions, demonstrations, and rallies should be suspended due to the already made agreement with the security for the peace and development of the state.

Without peace, there will not be Nasarawa State, as such the youths have to comply with the directive given.
“As a law-abiding people-oriented political party that believes in the rule of law, the APC in Nasarawa State hereby appeals to all the good people of the state, especially our teeming supporters and well-wishers to remain calm and await the pursuit of justice by our hardworking Governor, His Excellency Abdullahi A. Sule, to take its course,” said the APC state chairman.
