The newly elected National Chairman of the governing Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has declared that the 2027 general elections are already a done deal for the ruling party.
Professor Yilwatda made this statement while officially assuming office at the APC national secretariat in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
In his inaugural address, Professor Yilwatda pledged to reposition the party as a source of pride and joy for Nigerians. He assured members of his commitment to strengthening the APC and attracting influential leaders from across party lines. “We are the mechanics, and the party is a vehicle ,we will fix it, drive it, and ensure it reaches the destination of our choice,” he said.
Professor Yilwatda appreciated Nigerians for supporting the APC and welcomed new members, saying, “Our doors are open to welcome new members. We look forward to having more governors, senators, National Assembly members, local government chairmen, and members join our party.”
He emphasised the importance of collective effort, stating, “With our collective effort, I’m confident this party will become great, a symbol of pride and hope for the entire nation.”
