APGA Wins Ihiala Federal Constituency

The Deputy Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Dr. Paschal Agbodike, ‘defeated’ the incumbent federal lawmaker representing Ihiala federal constituency in the recent national Assembly election.

Declaring the results at the Ihiala local government headquarters INEC collation centre, the Returning Officer, Professor Anthony Okoye, said Paschal Agbodike who contested the constituency election on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, “APGA, polled a total of 5,709 votes to beat the incumbent Ifeanyi Momah who contested the same election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and scored 2,554 votes.

Okoye also stated that due to intelligence report and real security situation, elections were not conducted in six towns in the constituency, namely: Azia, Isseke, Lilu, Mbosi, Orsumoghu and Ward 1 of Uli town.
