Army Officers Wives provide jobs across Nigeria

The Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association NAOWA has provided over 2000 Job Opportunities across Barrack Communities in the country.

The Wife Of The Chief Of Army Staff Who is the President Of the Association Hajia Salamatu Yahaya, stated this during the inauguration of the newly built Nursery and Primary Schools by the Chapter Of the association at the Training and Doctrine Command Of the Nigerian Army TRADOC, in Minna Niger State North Central Nigeria.

Hajia Salamatu who further lauded the achievement of the Army Officers Wives Association said over 85 percent of the NAOWA’s employees across the nation are women, “NAOWA has gone beyond charity association to the employer of labour and women must have a sense of purpose in the society”.

She also appreciated the effort of the coordinator of the NAOWA Chapter in TRADOC, Mrs. Yemisi Olabanji for being the first to establish the Nursery and Primary Schools in the Cantonment, She Said, “TRADOC being a significant and long-standing unity of the Nigerian Army does not have any NAOWA school until now, she has done well to establish a structurally legacy for the benefit of children in the tune of sustaining the vision of my legacies and upholding of unity and service”.

The Coordinator of NAOWA in Niger State, Mrs. Yemisi Olabanji, appreciated the gesture of the NAOWA president for donating computers, generators, and instructional materials to the school.

Mrs. Olabanji who said the school was aimed at supporting orphans of fallen heroes and the barrack community, explained that since inception, the school had offered a wild range of approved curricula for the pupils which have given access to rigorous academic experiences with a total of 100 pupils and qualified 12 staff.
