The Director General of Bauchi State PDP Gubernatorial Campaign Council, Honourable Faruq Mustapha, has expressed confidence that the party can win elections without causing public disorder by sponsoring activities of political thugs in the electioneering campaign.

While interacting with a Government House Correspondent at the new PDP Gubernatorial Campaign Office in Bauchi, he made the statement.

Mustapha, who said the campaign should be made responsibly, maintained that electorates could only be convinced through constructive criticism, not condemnation and vandalising opposition’s properties.

According to him, the laudable projects executed by Governor Bala Mohammed led administration across all the twenty local government areas of the state are enough to campaign for the Governor and all PDP candidates.

He challenged the opposition parties in the state to be guided by the electoral act and warn their supporters against vandalising Billboards and campaign posters just as the PDP is doing for the peaceful conduct of the 2023 General.

Mustapha argued that the APC Gubernatorial Candidate in the state lacks the needed knowledge of the geographical areas and the challenges affecting the state, noting that electing such a candidate would constitute a significant setback in the move to reposition the state.

The Director General emphasised it is high time to focus on issue-based politics, not blind criticism and mischief-making.

He used the opportunity to announce that PDP has concluded arrangements to commence mobilisation of voters from Polling Units to Ward levels as part of its 2023 campaign plan.
