Nigeria ‘s Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu, has called on Nigerians to believe in their country saying that the nation is bound to surmount most of her challenges sooner than expected.
Senator Bagudu stated this while assuming office at the Ministry on Tuesday.
The Minister applauded the policy changes made by President Bola Tinubu in the Ministry, stating that it will create “a new framework for planning and budgeting rightly in the country.”
The Minister explained that Nigeria’s economy is undergoing a challenging transition and “this will put our Ministry under obligation to help government think through these challenges and offer immediate palliative measures. I will therefore appeal for our maximum cooperation and sacrifice as well as tap into the collective experience and knowledge of all Stakeholders to rise up to this national emergency,” he said.
Senator Bagudu advised Nigerians to always communicate their confidence in their country “clearly, unmistakably and unambiguously because Nigeria has one of the strongest absolving capacities in any of the economy of the world.”
